Had a lovelly day today. Went to pick up Son number 1 from his Nan’s house as he elected to stay overnight with his cousin. His first night away from us. Not the first night we have been away from him though. It was a little odd for us taking the other son home and putting him to bed on his own. I had to put son number 1’s radio on as if he was there… just to make number 2 son feel better. Or was it to make me feel better? After a quick lunch we headed off to meet all our local mates at the nearby Horsefair Green for cakes, football and wine. Lots of kids running all over the place and a little bit of wine to grease the wheels. Summers here at last!

The first *real* pic of the new XBOX

As detailled over at Spong, this is a real pic of the new XBOX 360 console.
Not white as i thought last week.
The pic may also show the proposed “Add on hard disk” module. The console is rumored to come in 2 flavours, a standard console and one with a hard drive and WebTV capability. And with Wireless connectivity “out of the box” it might look quite nice under my TV.
As long as i can buy a chipped one!
Apparently Team Xecuter already have a reference model and are looking into the possibilities.

Stability results were high which suggests you are very relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic..
Orderliness results were medium which suggests you are moderately organized, hard working, and reliable while still remaining flexible, efficient, and fun.
Extraversion results were moderately low which suggests you are reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive.
trait snapshot:
rarely irritated, positive, tough, non phobic, fearless, likes the unknown, self reliant, high self control, confident, trusting, strong instincts, prudent, optimistic, willful, likes parties, prefers a specialized career, takes charge, altruistic, strong, high self concept, adventurous, practical, thoughtful.
So does the Peter Pan complex mean i don’t want to grow up? Or just that i like to play with kids in their bedrooms and then take them away to far away places?

Doggy Style
Something for those of us that are bloggingly technically stunted and need a little extra schooling with HTML and CSS.
Even Blog-gods like me need some help now and again and the HTML Dog site is pretty good.

Total Body Meltdown Initiated….
Thursday afternon. Post lunch meltdown time.
The shuttered eyelids, rushing feeling in my legs and the pulling sensation in my torso either means i have had too much (or not enough) coffee or that i have already expended all my*work energy* for the day.
I watched most of “The Real Take That” on Channel5 last night after being trapped on the sofa after a large curry and more Cobra beer and although hating them with a vengance found the whole thing quite interesting. Apparently they were started as a group to tour the Gay clubs under the ownership of their gay manager. It was only after several years that they were groomed into the teenage girls wet dream material we know them for best. In a way i feel quite sorry for them. They were totally controlled from day 1 which eventually ended in them splitting up after the divisions between Robbie and Gary Barlow over who would sing lead vocals on the tracks came to a head.
They made millions of pounds - of which most have seen very little i expect, toured the world as total superstars and done many amazing things. If you think of it as something like an amusement ride then it would have been fun to have been there at the top of the rollercoaster only to teeter on the edge before plummeting down.
Not sure i could have handled doing all that dancing though…

The Darth Side
Lets hope that this is not some sort of pre Revenge Of The Sith viral marketing, but the Darth Vader blog has appeared over at The Darth Side: Memoirs of a Monster.
So. Vader does have a sense of humour after all.
Nice.

Black and white photography
I have always been a fan of B&W photographs. They always look much more dramatic and the lack of color allows the view to concentrate more on the content.
I found this tutorial ages ago but never really played with it too much. It works very well and produces a good quality B&W image with good depth of shadow and highlights. Check it out here: Design by Fire: Santorini in black & white

Well, it's not a giant lizard slaying robot and its not a new religion.
