Safari 3 Beta Crash

by taoski on June 16, 2007

After the recent beta release of the Apple browser, Safari, I promptly downloaded and installed it to my macBook only to find that it crashed as soon as it loaded!

KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS

I have only just had time to look into it and found that it was crashing due to me having Speed Download installed too.

I nuked that from the Mac with AppZapper and all was fine after that.

If it was on a Windows machine I would have probably been able to hack my way round it all, deleting registry entries and INI files and the like, but on the Mac I am a little in the dark about things like that. I guess I should’nt need to really!

Am I missing something here? Your MacBook shipped with Safari already installed.

Yes, but this is a new version that has just been released.
And I am an early adopter of this kind of thing.
Not one to miss out on a new feature that I might use at some point!

Why do your posts not have dates anymore?

Its just the template I am using at the moment.

I was thinking of doing a “re-launch” of Megatao.com seeing as I have just bought another years hosting from Dreamhost.

Bout time I got back on the blog wagon!
